intercultural training

For professionals in the social environment, such as nurses and educators, understanding cultural differences is particularly important, as they have close contact with people on a daily basis. Our intercultural training courses prepare you specifically for the peculiarities of the German work and social culture in order to work successfully in these areas.

Typical training content:

communication in the social environment

Communication plays a crucial role in nursing and care facilities as well as in daycare centers. The training teaches how to communicate effectively in a German work environment, both with colleagues and with patients, residents or parents. You will learn how to conduct open, clear and respectful conversations, which are particularly valued in German culture.

Working habits and expectations in the health and social care sector

Understanding typical work structures in Germany, such as punctuality, reliability and the importance of hygiene standards, is essential in these professions. You will learn how German quality standards and protocols are implemented in the healthcare sector or in educational work so that you can fit seamlessly into everyday work.

Dealing with sensitive situations and people in need of care

In nursing or in the educational field, dealing with people who need special support is sensitive and demanding. Our training courses help you to recognize cultural differences in dealing with patients, residents or children and to act accordingly. Empathy and respectful handling of the needs of people from different backgrounds are particularly important.

Teamwork and Conflict Management in the Social Sector

Misunderstandings can arise in international teams, especially in jobs where people work closely together. Our training courses prepare you to work successfully in a multicultural team, build trust and resolve conflicts early and professionally. You will learn how teamwork is structured in Germany and how you can coordinate your tasks in the team.

Dealing with Authority and Responsibility

In the German healthcare and education systems, it is important to understand clear hierarchies and areas of responsibility. You will learn how to navigate a structured environment, how responsibility is shared and how decision-making works. This will help you to act confidently and self-assuredly in your job.

Important formalities for a safe start:

In addition to professional and intercultural integration, it is important to understand the legal and organizational framework of working life in Germany. Animo is at your side with these formal issues and offers comprehensive support.

Labor law regulations:

To ensure that you find your way safely in your new work environment, it is important to know the essential rules and procedures.

  • Salary payment and tax deductions: Your salary is paid monthly, with taxes and social security contributions deducted directly from your gross salary.

  • Support with your employment contract: Your employment contract regulates your rights and obligations. Animo helps you understand the contract and supports you in clarifying legal details.

  • Probationary period: Most employment contracts include a probationary period of up to 6 months. During this period, both you and the employer can terminate the employment relationship with a shorter notice period.

  • Holiday entitlements and absence: In Germany, you have a legal right to at least 24 working days of paid holiday per year. We will also explain what you need to bear in mind if you are absent due to illness.

  • Work clothes and safety regulations: Certain professions, especially in healthcare, have requirements for special work clothes and safety regulations. Animo ensures that you know all relevant regulations.

With Animo's support, you will be safely guided through these important administrative and legal processes so that you can fully concentrate on your new job.

Insurance and social benefits:

In Germany, there is a comprehensive social insurance obligation and as an employee you are automatically covered by these systems:

  • Health insurance: Covers medical expenses such as doctor visits, hospital stays and medications.

  • Pension insurance: Secures you a retirement pension after a certain period of work.

  • Unemployment insurance: If you lose your job, you are financially protected and receive support in your job search.

  • Long-term care insurance: Covers long-term care services in the event of illness.

  • Accident insurance: Covers work accidents and occupational diseases.

Animo helps you register for the necessary insurance and clarifies all questions about social benefits.
